Political responsibility of local elected officials through transparency and accountability

This project monitored the performance of local elected politicians for one complete year in four municipalities in Albania, compared this performance to their promises and electoral platforms and published a final study that makes the results of the comparisons open to all stakeholders. During the project duration periodic contributions were made through the media coverage to raising public opinion attention over issues that surface in the comparison process and that are of particular importance to the well-being of concerned local communities. The project made it possible to monitor the performance of newly elected mayors in Burrel, Lushnje, Fier, Lezhe.
